We are looking for an energetic, creative, and nurturing person to work with our parent-led board to manage our preschool program. The ideal candidate will have strong classroom management skills, excellent communication and organization skills, and the ability to establish effective and positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
This position will be Monday-Friday mornings, from 8:30am – 12:30pm with the potential for additional hours associated with our 12:00 – 3:30pm afternoon program. There may be flexibility on morning start time. We offer the most competitive salary possible in accordance with the candidate’s qualifications.
Planning, implementing, and overseeing the daily curriculum
Supervising and coordinating working parents
Modeling Positive Discipline and teaching techniques for other staff and working parents with children aged 2 through 5
Attending community events and maintaining relationships with member families
Acting as an advisor to our parent-led board
Overseeing all programs including toddler time, a parent & me program for 18 months to 2.5 year olds.
- Must have the proper ECEs and other requirements to be a Child Care Center Director as outlined by Community Care Licensing (Title 22, Section 101215)
- CPR and First Aid required before start date
- Experience working as an early childhood program director preferred
- Experience with Positive Discipline preferred
