Co-Director for Novato Co-op Preschool
Novato Parents Nursery School, a play-based, mixed age,
parent participation preschool, founded in 1968, is seeking a
co-director to start immediately.
We are looking for an energetic, creative, and nurturing person to work together with another director and a parent-led board of directors to manage our preschool program. Ideal candidates will have strong classroom management skills, excellent communication and organization skills, and the ability to establish effective and positive relationships with children, parents, and staff. This position will be Monday-Friday mornings, from 8:30am – 12:30pm with the potential for additional hours associated with our 12:00 – 3:30pm afternoon program. There may be flexibility on morning start time. We offer the most competitive salary possible in accordance with a candidate’s experience and qualifications.
Qualifications:

Must have the proper ECEs and other requirements to be a Child Care Center Director as outlined by Community Care Licensing (Title 22, Section 101215)

CPR and First Aid required before start date

Experience working as an early childhood program director preferred

Experience with Positive Discipline preferred
Job Description:
-
Working together with another director on the planning, implementing, and overseeing of daily curriculum
-
Supervising and coordinating working parents
-
Modeling Positive Discipline and teaching techniques for other staff and working parents with children aged 2 through 5

Attending community events and maintaining relationships with member families

Acting as an advisor to our parent-led board of directors
